Instructions for use for MIRFULAN Ointment, 20 g

Mirfulan ointment is a wound and healing ointment used for the covering-protective and secretion-binding treatment of non-infected acute and subacute skin damage. These skin lesions are usually accompanied by redness, itching and pain, as in the case of napkin dermatitis. The active ingredient zinc oxide has a covering-protective and secretion-binding effect. It is recommended to consult a doctor if the symptoms do not improve or if they persist. The ointment should be applied to the affected areas of the skin once or several times a day, as needed, in a thickness of about 1/2 - 1 millimetre. Ointment residues can be removed carefully with warm soap solution. It should be stored at temperatures below 25 °C. The package leaflet contains further information on risks and side effects. It is recommended to check with a doctor or pharmacist before using other medicines already in use. The prescribed dosages and instructions for use should be followed. Use during pregnancy and lactation should be discussed with a doctor. The medicinal product should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the stated expiry date.
