Directions for use POLYSEPT OINTMENT: - Active substance: povidone-iodine - Indications: Damaged skin such as decubitus ulcers, leg ulcers, wounds, burns, infected and superinfected skin diseases. - Note before use: Allergy to iodine or other components, hyperthyroidism, dermatitis herpetiformis Duhring, planned or performed radioiodine therapy of the thyroid gland. - Special caution for use after thyroid disease or lithium therapy. - Use with caution in infants and the elderly. - Interactions with other medicinal products - Use during pregnancy and lactation only as directed by a doctor - Dosage and directions for use: Apply to affected areas of skin, duration of use until symptoms have subsided, not longer than 5 days without medical advice - Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, hyperthyroidism, thyroid disorders, dermatitis herpetiformis Duhring, radioiodine therapy, goiter, thyroid autonomy. - Special caution for infants under 6 months of age - Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding only according to medical advice
