Directions for use of the article Magaldrat ratiopharm 800 mg Tablets Magaldrat-ratiopharm® 800 mg Tablets contain the active substance magaldrate and belong to the group of medicines called antacids. They are used to treat heartburn, acid-related stomach complaints and stomach or duodenal ulcers. The recommended dose for adults and children over 12 years of age is one chewable tablet several times a day if needed, not exceeding a daily dose of 8 chewable tablets. The tablets should be sucked or well chewed and should not be used for more than 14 days without medical advice. The medicine should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients or impaired kidney function. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. Possible side effects may include soft stools. Magaldrat-ratiopharm® 800 mg Tablets should be stored away from heat and not used beyond the expiry date. For more information, see the leaflet.
