Area of application

EUDORLIN® Extra Ibuprofen pain tablets is an anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving medicine with fever-reducing properties.It is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

EUDORLIN® Extra Ibuprofen pain tablets contains the following active ingredients and excipients: 400 mg ibuprofen, carboxymethyl starch sodium type A, hypromellose, macrogol 4000, vegetable magnesium stearate, corn starch, povidone K30, highly disperse silicon dioxide and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

The product should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients mentioned.

Dosage

The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid during or after a meal.

For children aged 6 to 9 years (20 to 29 kg), the single dose is ½ film-coated tablet (200 mg ibuprofen), the maximum daily dose is 1½ film-coated tablets (600 mg ibuprofen).

For children aged 10 to 12 years (30 to 39 kg), the single dose is also ½ film-coated tablet (200 mg ibuprofen), but the maximum daily dose is 2 film-coated tablets (800 mg ibuprofen).

Children and adolescents aged 12 and over as well as adults (from 40 kg) can take a single dose of ½ to 1 film-coated tablet (200 to 400 mg ibuprofen), whereby the maximum daily dose should not exceed 3 film-coated tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen).There should be at least a 6-hour gap between doses.

Intake

The film-coated tablets are intended to be taken orally and should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid during or after a meal.

Patient information

It is recommended to speak to a doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine.Side effects can be reduced by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time necessary.

Pregnancy

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before taking the medicine.In the first six months of pregnancy, ibuprofen may only be used after consulting a doctor.Its use is not allowed in the last three months of pregnancy due to an increased risk of complications for mother and child.

The drug can affect fertility in women, but this effect is reversible once the drug is discontinued.During breastfeeding, the active ingredient ibuprofen and its breakdown products only pass into breast milk in small quantities.For short-term use, interruption of breastfeeding is usually not necessary.However, for prolonged use or higher doses, early cessation of breastfeeding should be considered.

Notes

The medicine is not suitable for children and adolescents under 14 years of age due to the high active ingredient content.It should not be used for longer than stated in the package leaflet without medical advice.
