Instructions for use of the article Adaptic Touch 12,7x15 cm Non-adherent silicone wound dressing: The ADAPTIC TOUCH Non-Adherent Silicone Wound Contact Dressing is a flexible wound dressing with an open mesh structure that does not adhere to the wound bed. It is made of cellulose acetate covered with a soft silicone layer. This was developed to prevent the wound dressing from slipping and to ensure atraumatic dressing changes. The Non-Adherent Silicone Wound Contact Pad has the following product characteristics: - The soft silicone coating facilitates dressing application and ensures atraumatic dressing changes. - The advanced mesh minimises the risk of exudation build-up and adherence of the secondary dressing. - Significant cost savings compared to other top brands in the primary silicone wound contact dressing segment. - Smaller mesh size reduces the risk of secondary dressing adherence to the wound bed. ADAPTIC TOUCH reduces adherence of the secondary dressing and traumatisation of the wound tissue during dressing changes. The non-adherent silicone wound contact dressing is indicated for the treatment of dry to heavily weeping, superficial and deep chronic wounds such as venous ulcers (venous leg ulcers), pressure ulcers (decubital ulcers), diabetic ulcers, traumatic and surgical wounds and graft donor sites. It ADAPTIC TOUCH can also be used for first and second degree burns ADAPTIC TOUCH under medical supervision. The ADAPTIC TOUCH Non-Adherent Silicone Wound Contact Pad is also suitable for use in conjunction with negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT).
