Instructions for use for Ibuflam Lysine 400 mg Ibuprofen pain tablets (18 pieces)

Description

Ibuflam Lysine 400 mg Ibuprofen painkillers are a well-tolerated painkiller that works quickly and specifically on the source of the pain.It can be taken several days in a row to relieve pain, although the maximum daily dose of 1,200 mg ibuprofen, equivalent to three tablets, should not be exceeded. It is important to follow the information in the package leaflet. However, you should remember that pain is a warning signal from the body.If symptoms persist for longer than three days, a doctor should be consulted. No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The painkillers contain 683.25 mg ibuprofen as lysine salt, which corresponds to 400 mg ibuprofen. The following excipients are also included: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium salt, erythrosine, hyprolose, hypromellose, macrogol 6000, sodium stearyl fumarate, polysorbate 80, colloidal silicon dioxide, simeticone, talc and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if there is hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients. The product should also not be used if you have asthma attacks, nasal mucous membrane swelling or skin reactions after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the past.Furthermore, it is contraindicated in the case of unexplained blood formation disorders, existing or recurrent stomach or duodenal ulcers, a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, cerebral hemorrhage or other active bleeding, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart failure, in the last trimester of pregnancy and in children under 12 years of age.

Dosage

The medicine should always be taken exactly as directed. It should not be taken for more than four days without medical or dental advice. The usual dosage for children and adolescents aged 12 and over and for adults weighing over 40 kg is one film-coated tablet (400 mg ibuprofen) as a single dose, with a maximum daily dose of three film-coated tablets (1,200 mg ibuprofen). After taking the maximum single dose, you should wait at least six hours before taking the next dose.No special dosage adjustment is required for older people.

If the effect is too strong or too weak, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist. In the event of an overdose, symptoms such as headache, dizziness, drowsiness, unconsciousness, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver and kidney dysfunction, drop in blood pressure, respiratory depression and cyanosis may occur. There is no specific antidote and a doctor should be consulted if overdose is suspected. If a dose is missed, do not take more than the usual recommended amount at the next dose.

Intake

The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid, such as a glass of water, during or after a meal.Patients with a sensitive stomach should take the product during meals.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when taking it, especially in the gastrointestinal area.Concomitant use with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should be avoided.Older patients are more likely to experience side effects, particularly bleeding and perforations in the stomach and intestines, which can be life-threatening.The risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers and perforations is higher with increasing dose, in patients with a history of ulcers and in older patients. These patients should begin treatment at the lowest available dose.

Medicines such as ibuprofen may be associated with a small increased risk of heart attack or stroke. The risk is more likely with high doses and prolonged treatment. If you have heart problems or have had a previous stroke, treatment should be discussed with your doctor or pharmacist.Serious skin reactions have been reported very rarely with NSAR-therapy.At the first appearance of skin rashes or other signs of a hypersensitivity reaction, ibuprofen should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

Ibuprofen should only be used after careful consideration of the benefit-risk ratio, especially in certain congenital hematopoiesis disorders and autoimmune diseases. Particularly careful medical monitoring is required in cases of impaired kidney or liver function, immediately after major surgical procedures and in the case of allergies or chronic respiratory diseases.Severe acute hypersensitivity reactions are very rarely observed.Ibuprofen can temporarily inhibit platelet function. If administered for a longer period of time, regular monitoring of liver values, kidney function and blood counts is necessary.

If you take ibuprofen before surgery, your doctor or dentist should be informed.Prolonged use of painkillers may cause headaches, which should not be treated with increased doses.Habitual use of painkillers can cause permanent kidney damage.Ibuprofen can impair fertility in women; this effect is reversible after discontinuation of the drug.Since central nervous side effects such as tiredness and dizziness can occur when using ibuprofen in higher doses, the ability to react can be changed and the ability to actively participate in traffic and to operate machines can be impaired.

Pregnancy

Before taking any medication, you should always ask a doctor or pharmacy for advice. If pregnancy is detected during use, the doctor should be notified.Ibuprofen may only be used in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy after consulting a doctor.Ibuprofen must not be used in the last trimester of pregnancy due to an increased risk of complications for mother and child. The active ingredient ibuprofen and its breakdown products only pass into breast milk in small quantities. For short-term use, interruption of breastfeeding is usually not necessary. However, early discontinuation of breastfeeding should be considered for prolonged use or higher doses.
