The active ingredient of this medicine is hydrotalcite in an amount of 500 mg per chewable tablet.The excipients include arabic gum, maltitol, maltodextrin, sodium cyclamate, thin paraffin, saccharin sodium salt, bleached wax, xanthan gum and a total of 0.067 BE carbohydrates.

Contraindications

This preparation must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to hydrotalcite, peppermint oil or any of the other ingredients.Taking it is also contraindicated if you have impaired kidney function, low phosphate concentration in the blood or a neurological disorder called myasthenia gravis.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age can take 1 to 2 chewable tablets several times a day if necessary.The daily dose should not exceed 12 chewable tablets, corresponding to 6000 mg hydrotalcite.The medicine is taken several times a day between meals and at bedtime.

The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity as well as the course of the disease.If the symptoms persist for longer than 2 weeks during treatment, you should consult a doctor.In the event of an overdose, poisoning is unlikely due to the low absorption of aluminum and magnesium.However, changes in stool behavior such as softening of stools and an increase in stool frequency may occur.Therapeutic measures are usually not necessary.
