Instructions for use for LACTULOSE STADA Syrup, 200 ml
Information for use of the article Lactulose Stada Syrup: - Indications: Constipation, disorders requiring facilitated bowel movements, portocaval encephalopathy (brain damage in liver disease). - Dosage: children and adolescents up to 18 years: 4.5-9 ml 1-2 times daily, adults: 7.5-15 ml 1-2 times daily or 30-45 ml 3-4 times daily. - Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the ingredients, intestinal obstruction, inflammatory gastrointestinal disorders, fluid and salt disorders, sugar absorption disorders. - Side effects: Gastrointestinal disorders, disturbances of salt balance. - Mode of action: Lactulose is broken down by intestinal bacteria and alters acid-base balance, stimulates intestinal motility and causes softening of stools. Also reduces the concentration of ammonia in the blood. - Indications: Not suitable for long-term use, do not use for weight loss. Caution in case of intolerance to fructose, galactose and lactose.
