USE INFORMATION: SEPSO J solution. Sepso J solution contains the active ingredient povidone-iodine and is used to disinfect the skin, oral mucosa, vagina, cervix and urethra. It is also used for hand disinfection, bladder catheterisation and for damaged skin such as pressure ulcers, lower leg ulcers, superficial wounds and burns. Sepso J solution is a disinfectant that is used once or repeatedly for a limited time. Before using Sepso J solution, there are some things you should be aware of. It must not be used if you are allergic to iodine or other components of the medicine, have hyperthyroidism or other thyroid diseases, or have had planned or performed radioiodine therapy of the thyroid gland. Sepso J Solution should be used with caution in certain conditions such as thyroid disease, goitre, lithium therapy or pregnant and breastfeeding women. Sepso J Solution is used undiluted or diluted, depending on the indication. It is recommended that you read the package leaflet carefully and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. Possible side effects are skin irritation, allergic reactions and rarely severe allergic reactions.
