MOVICOL® Lemon/Lime contains the active ingredient Macrogol 3350, which binds water and retains it in the intestines.This softens the stool and increases the stool volume.The increased stool volume increases the internal pressure, which stimulates intestinal movements and makes it easier to pass.

Ingredients of MOVICOL® lemon/lime: 0.05 g potassium chloride, 0.67 mmol potassium ion, 0.67 mmol chloride ion, 13.125 g macrogol 3350, 0.35 g sodium chloride, 5.99 mmol sodium ion, 5.99 mmol chloride ion, 0.18 g sodium bicarbonate,2.14 mmol sodium ion, 2.14 mmol hydrogen carbonate ion, acesulfame potassium salt as an excipient, lime aroma as an excipient, lemon aroma as an excipient.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity reactions can occur to all medications and the medication must be discontinued immediately.If an allergy to the active ingredient or one of the other ingredients is already known, the medicine must not be used.It must not be used in structural or functional disorders of the intestinal wall, intestinal obstruction, severe inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and toxic megacolon.Use in children under 12 years is not recommended.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over can take one sachet of MOVICOL® lemon/lime 1-3 times daily, depending on the severity of the constipation.For long-term use, the dose can be reduced to 1 or 2 times a day.

Intake

To prepare the solution, pour the contents of the sachet into a glass and add about 125 ml of water.Stir until the powder is completely dissolved and the solution is clear or slightly cloudy.The solution can be taken at any time and regardless of food intake.If the packaging is damaged, the product should not be consumed.

Patient information

Treatment for chronic constipation should normally not exceed 2 weeks.However, if necessary, MOVICOL® Lemon/Lime can be used repeatedly.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, MOVICOL® Lemon/Lime should only be taken after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
