UrgoStart is an absorbent polyurethane foam compress that features a microadhesive TLC-NOSF-wound healing matrix and a protective polyurethane backing.This special wound healing matrix can shorten the healing time of lower leg and pressure ulcers.The product also enables economical wound therapy and improves the quality of life of patients.UrgoStart ensures effective exudate management and protects against maceration.The dressing change is atraumatic and painless.

Areas of application

UrgoStart is suitable for exuding chronic wounds, such as lower leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers, from granulation onwards.

Application

UrgoStart can be cut with sterile scissors to adjust the size of the dressing to the wound.The compress is fixed with a secondary dressing, for example with Urgomull haft latex-free or Urgoderm Stretch.UrgoStart can also be used in combination with compression therapy, such as UrgoK2.The wearing time is usually 2 to 4 days.A treatment period of at least 8 weeks is recommended.

Contraindications

UrgoStart should not be used on tumor-induced wounds and fistula-like wounds that show deep pus formation (abscess).The product must not be used even if you are known to be hypersensitive to UrgoStart.
