DracoFoam adhesive sensitive is a foam wound dressing with a silicone adhesive edge.It is made of 100% polyurethane and is available in a size of 5x5 cm.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

This wound dressing is suitable for various types of wounds with high levels of exudate.These include superficial and deeper acute and chronic wounds such as leg ulcers (venous and arterial), pressure ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, split-thickness skin donor sites, postoperative wounds and burns up to 2nd degree.

Wound environment

The wound environment can be intact, sensitive or fragile.

Wound stage

The wound dressing is suitable for wounds in the stages of granulation, necrosis and with fibrin coating.

Wound healing phase

It can be used in the exudation phase and granulation phase.

Exudation

The wound dressing is suitable for moderate to heavy and heavy to very heavy exudation.

Material composition and details

DracoFoam adhesive sensitive consists of a hydrophilic, absorbent polyurethane foam.The flexible foam adapts to the wound base and has a high exudate absorption capacity.This allows for a long period of wear and reduces the risk of wound maceration.Excess liquid is transported to the polyurethane membrane where it can evaporate.The polyurethane film prevents the exudate from escaping and provides a barrier against external pathogens.

The sensitive silicone technology allows the bandage to be repositioned for wrinkle-free application and is suitable for use on fragile skin.This increases the tolerability of the association.The atraumatic dressing change avoids pain and re-traumatization of the wound.

The wound dressing is water-repellent, offers reliable laundry protection, is germ-proof and has high breathability with high elasticity.Under medical supervision, DracoFoam can remain on the wound for up to 7 days.
