UrgoTül Lite Border is a self-adhesive, absorbent lipidocolloid wound dressing.It is based on Lipidocolloid Technology (TLC), an exclusive and patented innovation from Laboratoires URGO.The dressing consists of several layers: a non-adhesive lipid colloid matrix that comes into direct contact with the wound and is composed of a polyester matrix with hydrocolloid particles (carboxymethyl cellulose) and petroleum jelly.In the middle there is a thin, absorbent and non-sensitizing compress.The white, protective polyurethane carrier is coated with a skin-friendly adhesive.

In contact with the wound exudate, the hydrocolloid particles of the lipidocolloid matrix take on a gel-like consistency and, together with the petroleum jelly, form a lipidocolloid interface between the wound and the wound dressing.This creates a moist wound environment that promotes the healing process.The specific properties include maintaining a favorable, moist wound environment, atraumatic detachment to protect the newly formed tissue structures, painless dressing changes, protection of the wound environment due to the high skin tolerance of the adhesive and the drainage of small volumes of wound exudate through the absorbent compress.The carrier material is flexible and adaptable and adapts to the anatomical relief of the wound.

UrgoTül Lite Border is suitable for the treatment of acute wounds such as traumatic wounds, skin abrasions, postoperative wounds and burns, as well as chronic wounds such as lower leg ulcers and pressure ulcers in the granulation and epithelialization phase.No prescription is required for this product.

Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity to the wound dressing.

Instructions for use

To prepare the wound, it should be cleaned and irrigated with sterile physiological saline according to usual care protocol.If the wound was previously treated with an antiseptic, it should be carefully rinsed with physiological saline solution before using UrgoTül Lite Border.

To apply the wound dressing, the protective films should be removed and UrgoTül Lite Border should be applied to the wound so that the central compress is positioned on the wound.

The dressing should be changed every 2 to 4 days depending on the amount of exudate and the clinical condition of the wound.UrgoTül Lite Border can be left on the wound for up to 5 days.

Warnings and precautions

If there are clinical signs of local infection, treatment can be changed to an antibacterial wound dressing based on the assessment of the attending physician.UrgoTül Lite Border must not be used in a hyperbaric chamber.The sterile individual packaging is intended for single use only.Reusing a single-use wound dressing may cause infection risks.Before use, the integrity of the sterile individual packaging should be checked.Do not use if damaged.Do not re-sterilize the wound dressing.
