UrgoTül Lite Border is a self-adhesive, absorbent lipidocolloid wound dressing.It is based on Lipidocolloid Technology (TLC), an exclusive and patented innovation from Laboratoires URGO.The wound dressing consists of several layers:

First, there is a nonadherent lipid colloid matrix that comes into direct contact with the wound.This matrix consists of a polyester matrix that is soaked with hydrocolloid particles (carboxymethyl cellulose) and petroleum jelly.In the middle of the wound dressing there is a thin, absorbent and non-sensitizing compress.The white, protective polyurethane carrier is coated with a very skin-friendly adhesive.

In contact with the wound exudate, the hydrocolloid particles of the lipidocolloid matrix take on a gel-like consistency and, together with the petroleum jelly, form a lipidocolloid interface between the wound and the wound dressing.This creates a moist wound environment that promotes the healing process.Specific properties include:

Maintaining a moist wound environment that is favorable for wound healing.The bandage can be removed atraumatically, which protects the newly formed tissue structures.Dressing changes are painless for the patient.The high skin compatibility of the adhesive protects the area around the wound.The absorbent compress ensures drainage of small volumes of wound exudate and thus protects the wound environment from maceration.The carrier material is flexible and adaptable and therefore adapts to the anatomical relief of the wound.

Indications

UrgoTül Lite Border is suitable for the treatment of acute wounds such as traumatic wounds, skin abrasions, postoperative wounds and burns.The dressing can also be used in the granulation and epithelialization phase for chronic wounds such as lower leg ulcers and pressure ulcers.

Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity to the wound dressing.

Instructions for use

Preparation of the wound:

The wound should be cleaned and irrigated with sterile normal saline according to usual care protocol.If the wound was previously treated with an antiseptic, it should be carefully rinsed with physiological saline solution before using UrgoTül Lite Border.

Applying the wound dressing:

Peel off the protective films and apply UrgoTül Lite Border to the wound so that the central compress is positioned on the wound.

Change of dressing:

UrgoTül Lite Border should be changed every 2 to 4 days depending on the amount of exudate and the clinical condition of the wound.The bandage can be left on the wound for up to 5 days.
