Summary: Loperamide acute Aristo 2 mg tablets are a medicine for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over when no causative therapy is available. Prolonged use is only allowed under medical supervision. The recommended dosage varies according to age. The tablets should be taken unchewed with liquid. The duration of treatment should not exceed 2 days, otherwise a doctor should be consulted. Side effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, headache and fatigue. These tablets are a good alternative to the original Imodium. However, I find that it does not work as quickly as the Imodium.

Loperamide is usually available in capsule form. As tablets like these, you can easily store them in your wallet. This is important for me when I'm travelling and my digestion "reacts" quickly to food".
