RIOPAN Stomach gel is a medicine used to treat heartburn and acid-related stomach complaints. It contains the active ingredient magaldrate and works by neutralising excess stomach acid. The gel immediately relieves stomach pain, protects the stomach lining and binds excess stomach acid. It has a fast and long-lasting effect. RIOPAN Stomach Gel is well tolerated and available in stick packs that can be easily dosed. It is suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over. If necessary, a stick pack can be taken several times a day. However, use should not exceed 2 weeks unless a doctor recommends otherwise. Side effects may include soft stools, but rarely occur. The leaflet should be read before use and medical advice should be sought if symptoms continue. RIOPAN Stomach gel can also be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, lemonade, orange juice, lemon juice, fruit juice, wine and citric acid should not be taken together with the medicine.
