Instructions for use for INFECTOSOOR Zinc ointment, 60 g

Infectosoor Zinc Ointment is used to treat inflammation of the skin and skin folds affected by yeasts (Candida spp.). It contains the active ingredients miconazole nitrate and zinc oxide. The ointment should be applied to the entire affected area every time the patient changes aids (e.g. nappies) and after every bath. The skin should be cleaned with lukewarm water and dried thoroughly beforehand. Application should be continued for at least one week after the symptoms have disappeared. An overdose is unlikely with external application. Possible side effects may include hypersensitivity reactions of the skin such as burning, itching and redness. The ointment must not be used if there is an allergy to miconazole nitrate or zinc oxide. During pregnancy, the use of the ointment should be discussed with a doctor.
