Directions for use of the article Infectosoor Zinc Ointment: Infectosoor Zinc Ointment is a medicinal product for the treatment of inflammation of the skin and skin folds affected by yeast fungi (Candida spp.). The ointment has a broad spectrum of action and contains the active ingredients miconazole nitrate and zinc oxide. The ointment is applied to the affected area every time the aid is changed and after every bath. The skin should be cleaned and dried before application. The ointment is applied carefully without massaging it in. It is important to observe the usual measures for inflammation of the skin and skin folds, e.g. no tight-fitting, air- and moisture-impermeable nappies and incontinence aids should be used. The diseased skin should not be cleaned with perfumed soaps, shampoos or lotions. Treatment should be continued for at least one week after all symptoms have disappeared. If there is no improvement after 7 days, a medical consultation is advisable. The ointment should be kept at room temperature and inaccessible to children. Infectosoor Zinc Ointment contains 2.5 mg miconazole nitrate and 150 mg zinc oxide per 1 g ointment. Other ingredients are white vaseline and glycerol tris(12-hydroxyoctadecanoate).
