Cimicifuga STADA film-coated tablets are a herbal medicinal product for the improvement of menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, sweats and sleep disturbances. The recommended dose is 1 film-coated tablet 1 time daily. The tablets should be taken with sufficient liquid and, if possible, should always be taken at the same time of day. The duration of use should not exceed 6 months. If the symptoms persist, a doctor should be consulted. In the case of an overdose, gastrointestinal complaints may occur and the intake of forgotten tablets should be continued at the next prescribed time. Cimicifuga STADA should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, estrogen-dependent tumours or impaired liver function. The medicine should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Possible side effects may include gastrointestinal complaints, skin reactions, swelling of the face, water retention and weight gain. Cimicifuga STADA contains the active substance cimicifuga rhizome dry extract and various excipients such as lactose. The medicine should be stored away from heat.
