Active ingredients and ingredients

Each effervescent tablet contains 600 mg calcium (as calcium carbonate) and 10 micrograms colecalciferol (vitamin D3, equivalent to 400 IU).In addition, the medicine contains the following excipients: all-rac-alpha-tocopherol, malic acid, citric acid, colloidal silicon dioxide, maltodextrin, medium-chain triglycerides, sodium ascorbate, sodium carbonate, sodium cyclamate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, saccharin sodium, modified starch (corn), sucrose, lemon flavor (consisting of mannitol, maltodextrin,D-Glucono-1,5-lactone, sorbitol, arabic gum and lemon flavor).

Contraindications

Calcivit D effervescent tablets must not be taken if you are allergic to calcium carbonate or vitamin D.It is also contraindicated if calcium concentrations in the blood are too high (hypercalcemia) and/or increased calcium excretion in the urine (hypercalcuria), kidney failure, kidney stones (nephrolithiasis), calcium deposits in the kidneys (nephrocalcinosis) or a vitamin D overdose (hypervitaminosis D).

Dosage

The usual dose for adults and the elderly is one effervescent tablet twice daily.Pregnant women should only take one effervescent tablet daily.The effervescent tablet is dissolved in a glass of water and drunk immediately.It should be taken in the morning and evening.The duration of use is determined by the doctor.During long-term treatment, calcium levels in urine and blood must be monitored.

Patient information

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy, daily intake should not exceed 1,500 mg calcium and 600 IU vitamin D.During breastfeeding, calcium and vitamin D3 pass into breast milk, so you should first consult your doctor whether your child is already receiving products that contain vitamin D3.
