Area of application

This medicine is an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever that contains the active ingredient ibuprofen.It is used for mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches and period pains as well as fever.

Each tablet contains 200 mg of ibuprofen as the active ingredient.The excipients include acid blue 9, carmellose sodium salt, carnauba wax, microcrystalline cellulose, quinoline yellow, croscarmellose sodium salt, erythrosine, hypromellose, macrogol 400, magnesium stearate, corn starch, colloidal silica, stearic acid, talc and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients.The product should also not be used if you have certain pre-existing illnesses or in special life situations, such as in the last trimester of pregnancy or for children under 20 kg.Further details can be found in the package insert.

Dosage

The dosage depends on age and body weight.Children between 6 and 9 years old (20-29 kg) can take a maximum of 3 tablets daily, children between 10 and 12 years old (30-39 kg) can take a maximum of 4 tablets.Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over (over 40 kg) may take up to 6 tablets daily.Wait at least 6 hours between doses.

No prescription is required for this product.

If you take more than you should, symptoms such as headache, dizziness, drowsiness, stomach pain, nausea and vomiting may occur.In this case, you should contact a doctor immediately.

If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose.If you have any further questions about taking it, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Intake

Take the coated tablets whole with plenty of liquid during or after a meal.Patients with sensitive stomachs should take the tablets with meals.To minimize side effects, you should use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible period of time.

Patient information

If you experience severe skin reactions or signs of a hypersensitivity reaction, you should stop taking the medication and consult a doctor.The medicine should not be used during a chickenpox infection.

In the case of certain congenital blood formation disorders or autoimmune diseases, the drug should only be used after careful consideration of the benefit-risk ratio.Careful medical monitoring is required in cases of impaired kidney or liver function, after major surgical procedures and in case of allergies.

Ibuprofen can temporarily inhibit platelet function.Patients with bleeding disorders should be carefully monitored.Simultaneous use with other medicines to inhibit blood clotting or to lower blood sugar requires blood clotting or blood sugar levels to be monitored as a precaution.

If the preparation is administered for a longer period of time, regular monitoring of liver values, kidney function and blood counts is necessary.You should inform your doctor or dentist before any surgical procedures.

Drinking alcohol at the same time can increase drug-related side effects.

Children and adolescents are at risk for kidney dysfunction, especially if they are dehydrated.

Since central nervous side effects such as tiredness and dizziness can occur when using the drug in higher doses, in individual cases the ability to react can be changed and the ability to actively participate in road traffic and operate machines can be impaired.This is especially true when combined with alcohol.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

If pregnancy is discovered while using the medicine, the doctor should be notified.You may only use ibuprofen in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy after consulting your doctor.The product must not be used in the last trimester of pregnancy due to an increased risk of complications for mother and child.
