Instructions for use for Ibudex 200 mg film-coated tablets, 30 pcs

Area of application

This medicine is an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever that contains the active ingredient ibuprofen. It is used for mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches and period pains as well as fever. No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each tablet contains 200 mg of ibuprofen as the active ingredient. The other ingredients are acid blue 9, carmellose sodium, carnauba wax, microcrystalline cellulose, quinoline yellow, croscarmellose sodium, erythrosine, hypromellose, macrogol 400, magnesium stearate, corn starch, colloidal silicon dioxide, stearic acid, talc and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients. The product should also not be used if you have certain previous illnesses or in certain phases of life, such as in the last trimester of pregnancy or for children under 20 kg.Other contraindications include hematopoietic disorders, gastrointestinal ulcers, cerebral hemorrhages, severe liver or kidney dysfunction and severe heart failure.

Dosage

The dosage depends on age and body weight.Children between 6 and 9 years (20-29 kg) should take a maximum of 3 tablets daily, children between 10 and 12 years (30-39 kg) a maximum of 4 tablets.Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over (over 40 kg) may take a maximum of 6 tablets daily. There should be at least 6 hours between doses. If use is prolonged or symptoms worsen, medical advice should be sought.

Intake

The coated tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid during or after a meal.Patients with sensitive stomachs should take the tablets with meals. To minimize side effects, the lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest possible period of time.

Patient information

It is important to use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible period of time to minimize side effects.Elderly patients should be monitored particularly carefully because they are at higher risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and ulcers.Caution should be exercised when taking other medications that increase the risk of gastrointestinal diseases. If there are signs of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers, the intake should be discontinued.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy, the medicine should only be taken after consulting a doctor. It must not be used in the last trimester of pregnancy.During breastfeeding, small amounts of ibuprofen pass into breast milk, so short-term use does not require interruption of breastfeeding. However, if used for a long period of time, early cessation of breastfeeding should be considered.

Notes

If you have pain or fever, do not use for longer than stated in the package leaflet without medical advice. For information about risks and side effects, read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacy.

Very quickly effective even at the low dosage of 200mg. No problems such as gastrointestinal irritation. Less is sometimes also good.

This is the 100% replacement for OPTALIDON Ibu 200 mg film-coated tablets, as Optalidon is no longer available. The patent for it has expired and it is manufactured as IbuDex 200mg. It has 100% of the same ingredients and is also identical in its effect.
