Ibudex 200 mg film-coated tablets are an anti-inflammatory and analgesic medicine containing the active substance ibuprofen. It is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, period pain and fever. The recommended dosage for adults is 1-2 film-coated tablets (200-400 mg ibuprofen) every 6 hours, but not more than 6 film-coated tablets per day. In children and adolescents, the dosage varies according to body weight. The medicine should be taken unchewed with plenty of liquid during or after a meal. It should not be used for more than 3 days for fever and 4 days for pain without medical advice. Side effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, dizziness and skin reactions. There are certain contraindications to the use of the medicine, including hypersensitivity to the ingredients, ulcers in the digestive tract and bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract. Pregnant and breastfeeding women and persons with certain medical conditions should consult a doctor before use.
