Mode of action

The combination of the active ingredients ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride can alleviate unpleasant cold and flu symptoms and specifically combat inflammation in the body.Ibuprofen has a pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory effect and reduces fever.Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride acts like a “nasal spray from within” and combats nasal congestion and sinusitis.The mucous membranes in the nose and sinuses swell and the inflammatory secretion can drain away unhindered.

10 ml of suspension contains 200 mg ibuprofen and 30 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride.Other ingredients are glycerol, xanthan gum, maltitol, polysorbate 80, saccharin sodium, citric acid monohydrate, sodium methyl and sodium propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (Ph. Eur.), cherry flavor and purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, this product should not be used.

Dosage

BoxaGrippal® cold juice is suitable for use by adults and young people aged 15 and over.For cold symptoms and flu-like infections, a dosage of 10 to 20 milliliters can be taken every 4 - 6 hours.The maximum daily dose of 60 milliliters should not be exceeded.The preparation should not be taken for longer than 5 days without medical advice.

Intake

Take the medicine preferably with or after food.Shake the bottle vigorously before use until the sediment has completely dissolved.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine if you are taking the following medicines: other anti-inflammatory painkillers (NSAIDs), migraine medicines, other medicines such as blood thinners or corticosteroids.Care should also be taken if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol levels, psychoses, systemic lupus erythematosus, seizures, behavioral problems, urinary problems, planned operations, competitive sports, planned blood tests or asthma.Children and adolescents under 15 years of age must not use the medicine.Adolescents who are dehydrated are at risk of kidney dysfunction.

This medicine is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or use machines.However, since dizziness or hallucinations can occur in exceptional cases, you should take this into account if you want to actively participate in traffic.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.The preparation must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Application

The recommended dose is: Adults and adolescents aged 15 and over: Depending on the severity of the symptoms, 10 - 20 ml every 6 hours.The maximum daily dose of 60 ml must not be exceeded.It should usually be taken every 6 hours as needed.Leave at least 4 hours between doses.Take BoxaGrippal® cold juice preferably with or after a meal.Shake the bottle vigorously before use until the sediment has completely dissolved.In order to be able to measure the dose precisely, the pack includes a measuring cup.

You should only use this combination medicine if you have both a stuffy nose and pain or fever.If you only have one of these complaints, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist about treatment with individual substances only.If you do not feel better or even worse after 4 days (adults) or 3 days (young people aged 15 and over), you must contact your doctor.Do not take more than the dose listed above.The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms.If you have an infection, consult a doctor immediately if symptoms (e.g. fever and pain) persist or worsen.
