Remifemin mono tablets are a herbal medicine for the relief of menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes and excessive sweating. The tablets contain a dry extract from the rhizome of the black cohosh. The recommended dosage is one tablet once a day, regardless of meals. The tablets should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid. The use in children, adolescents and men is not intended due to the field of application. The effect of the medicinal product is not immediate and should be taken over several months. Use beyond six months should be avoided without medical advice. The medicinal product should be kept away from heat and out of the reach of children. It contains lactose and must not be used after the expiry date on the packaging. The medicinal product should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, impaired liver function or during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Possible side effects may include gastrointestinal complaints, skin reactions, swelling of the face, weight gain and liver damage.
