BiomoPedicul 0.5% solution is a medicine for the one-time external treatment of the scalp hair in the event of an infestation with head lice (Pediculus capitis).The active ingredient permethrin belongs to the group of active ingredients called pyrethrins, which are found in flowers of certain plants, such as some types of chrysanthemums.The solution is colorless, odorless and easy to use.No prescription is required for this product.

Area of application

BiomoPedicul 0.5% solution is used to treat head lice in adults and children over 3 years old.It is not suitable for newborns and infants under 2 months.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in BiomoPedicul 0.5% solution is permethrin.100 ml of the solution contains 430.0 mg permethrin 25/75 (cis/trans).The other ingredients are ethanol 96%, 2-propanol, purified water, propylene glycol (E 1520) and sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate.

Contraindications

BiomoPedicul 0.5% solution must not be used if you are allergic to permethrin, other pyrethrins or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.It is not suitable for newborns and infants under 2 months.

Dosage

The amount of solution depends on the thickness of the hair.For short hair, about 25 ml is enough, for longer hair, about 50 ml is needed, and for very long and thick hair, more may be needed.Children up to 3 years should not receive more than 25 ml.The solution is massaged evenly into slightly damp hair and left on for 30 to 45 minutes before washing out with warm water.After application, the hair should be combed out with a special lice comb.

Intake

BiomoPedicul 0.5% solution is only intended for external use on the hairy scalp and in the hair.Before use, the hair is washed and toweled.The solution is massaged evenly into the still slightly damp hair.Make sure that the hair near the scalp is particularly well wetted.Long and thick hair should be treated in sections.The solution should be used undiluted and not with shampoo, soap or other care products.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the solution, especially if you are allergic to chrysanthemums or other composite plants.The solution is harmful to insects and aquatic creatures, so it should not be used in aquariums and terrariums.People applying permethrin are advised to wear gloves.

Pregnancy
