This herbal laxative tea is used for short-term relief from constipation.It is suitable for adults and children aged ten and over.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

The senna leaves in tea increase the moisture content of the stool, which increases the filling pressure in the colon and stimulates bowel movements.The effect usually occurs after 8 to 12 hours.

Ingredients

Each filter bag contains 1.7 grams of senna leaves, which are adjusted to a content of 30 milligrams of hydroxyanthracene glycosides.

Contraindications

The tea must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, intestinal obstruction, acute inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown cause, severe dehydration or in children under ten years of age.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted before use.

Dosage

Adults and children aged ten and over can drink a cup of the tea before bed if necessary.To do this, pour boiling water over a filter bag and let it steep for ten minutes.The maximum daily dose is one cup.The tea can be sweetened as desired or refined with lemon.
