Area of application

Desloratadine Aristo® is used to improve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis (e.g. hay fever or house dust mite allergy) and urticaria (hives) in adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.

Active ingredient: 5 mg desloratadine.

Other ingredients: Lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, pre-gelatinized corn starch, heavy magnesium oxide, magnesium stearate, Opadry blue (contains hypromellose, titanium dioxide, macrogol 400, indigo carmine aluminum salt), hypromellose 6.

Contraindications

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to desloratadine, any of the other ingredients of this medicine or loratadine.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over should take one tablet once daily with a glass of water, with or without food.The tablet should be swallowed whole.

The duration of treatment depends on the type, duration and course of the symptoms.For intermittent allergic rhinitis (symptoms occur less often than 4 days per week or less than 4 weeks), a treatment regimen is recommended that depends on the previous course of the disease.For persistent allergic rhinitis (symptoms occurring 4 or more days per week and lasting more than 4 weeks), longer treatment may be recommended.For urticaria, the duration of treatment may vary from patient to patient.

Intake

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily with water, with or without food.The tablet should be swallowed whole.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking this medicine if you have impaired kidney function.

Do not give this medicine to children under 12 years of age.

If you take the recommended dosage, this product is not expected to affect your ability to drive or use machines.Although most people do not experience drowsiness, it is recommended that you avoid activities that require mental alertness until your personal response to the medicine has been established.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Taking desloratadine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
