The pain capsules "proff" contain the active substance ibuprofen and are used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderately severe pain. This includes headaches, toothaches, period pains as well as the acute phase of migraine and tension headaches. The medicine can also be used for fever. The capsules should not be used for longer than stated in the package leaflet and should not be used without medical advice. The recommended dosage for adolescents 12 years and older and adults is 1 capsule 1-3 times a day, 6 hours apart, during meals. The total dose should not be exceeded. In case of overdose, headache, dizziness, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, drop in blood pressure, drowsiness and breathing difficulties may occur. Pregnant women should consult their doctor before use. Overall, side effects such as gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, dizziness, insomnia, fatigue, skin rash, shortness of breath and visual disturbances are possible.
