Application

Adults, adolescents 12 years and older, and older patients can take one sachet 1 to 3 times daily, depending on the severity of constipation.It can be taken at any time and regardless of meals or drinks.

To prepare the solution, open the bag and pour the contents into a glass.Add 125 ml or ½ glass of water and stir until the powder is completely dissolved and the solution is clear or slightly cloudy.The prepared solution can be stored covered in the refrigerator (2-8 °C) and used within 24 hours.

The treatment usually lasts 2 weeks.If constipation persists, you should contact your doctor.If constipation is caused by illnesses such as Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis or by certain medications, your doctor may recommend longer doses.

Mode of action

Macrogol 3350 expands as water is absorbed in the intestines, thereby increasing stool volume.This causes intestinal motility to be stimulated and solid stools to soften, eventually leading to defecation.In addition, the product contains sodium and potassium, important electrolytes that would normally be excreted more frequently when using laxatives and thus lost to the body.This negative balance is offset by the use of the product.

Contraindications

The product must not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients, perforated intestinal wall, narrowing of the intestine or intestinal obstruction, risk of intestinal perforation, severe inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, toxic megacolon, abdominal pain with an unknown cause and in children under 12 years of age.Please consult a doctor before using the product during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Dosage

For constipation, adults and young people aged 12 and over take the contents of one sachet, dissolved in a glass of water (approx. 125 ml), 1-3 times a day.It can be used without regard to meals and should normally not last longer than 2 weeks.
