Instructions for use of the article Tegaderm Silicone Foam Dressing 16,5cm x 16,5cm: - The Tegaderm Silicone Foam Dressing from 3M offers a combination of an efficient foam dressing for ideal moist wound care and an atraumatic silicone adhesive edge. - The dressing creates an ideal moist wound environment for low to heavily exuding wounds and adapts to different amounts of exudate. - The intelligent exudate management reduces the risk of maceration or wound drying. - The silicone adhesive edge provides a secure hold on fragile skin and reduces the risk of trauma or skin damage. - The dressing is easy to apply without direct contact with the wound and can be repositioned as needed without losing adhesion. - It is waterproof and bacteria-proof. - Indications for the application of the dressing are weakly to heavily exuding, superficial to deep wounds such as leg ulcers, decubital ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, burns and abrasions. - To apply, position the dressing over the wound and press gently. - The dressing can remain on the wound for up to seven days, depending on the type of wound, the amount of exudate and the clinical picture. - When the exudate has reached the edges of the foam pad or threatens to leak from the dressing, a dressing change should be made. - To remove the dressing, carefully detach the corners from the skin and then remove the entire pad.
