Instructions for use of the article Tegaderm Silicone Foam Dressing 7cm x 15cm: - Tegaderm Silicone Foam Dressing from 3M provides optimal moisturisation for wounds and has an atraumatic silicone adhesive edge. The 4-layer system creates an ideal moist wound environment and reduces maceration or wound drying. - The dressing adapts to different amounts of exudate and provides a secure hold even with fragile skin. It can be repositioned without loss of adhesion and is water- and bacteria-proof. - The dressing is suitable for use on low to high exudate, superficial to deep wounds such as leg ulcers, decubitus ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, burns and split skin sites. - For application, the dressing is placed over the wound and gently pressed on using the silicone adhesive edge. The paper spokes are removed without stretching the dressing or the skin. The dressing is then gently pressed on to ensure optimal adhesion. - The dressing can remain on the wound for up to seven days, but should be changed when exudate has reached the edges of the foam pad or threatens to leak.
