Glycerine suppositories Rösch 2 g are ideal for natural stool regulation and easy bowel movements. They have a gentle laxative effect and are kind to the intestinal flora. These suppositories can be used in various situations, such as haemorrhoidal disorders, prolonged bedriddenness, constipation in children or even after operations to avoid straining during bowel movements. The suppositories contain at least 83% anhydrous glycerine as well as stearic acid and sodium carbonate as further ingredients. There are different dosages for different age groups. A 1 g suppository is recommended for infants and toddlers from 28 days to 23 months, a 2 g suppository for children from 2 years of age, adolescents and adults, and a 3 g suppository for adults from 18 years of age in persistent cases. The suppositories usually take effect after about 15-60 minutes. It is recommended to insert the suppository in the morning shortly before getting up and to hold back the emptying a little to allow sufficient softening of the stool.
