Levocetirizine beta 5 mg film-coated tablets are used to treat allergic rhinitis (including persistent allergic rhinitis) and hives (urticaria). The active substance levocetirizine dihydrochloride has an anti-allergic effect and suppresses the effect of substances in the body that promote inflammation. The recommended dose is 1 film-coated tablet per day for adults and children aged 6 years and over. The dose may be adjusted in patients with impaired kidney or liver function. The duration of treatment depends on the individual symptoms. The film-coated tablets should be taken unchewed with water. There are certain groups of patients who should not take the medicine, e.g. pregnant women, nursing mothers and patients with severe renal impairment. Possible side effects include headache, drowsiness, dry mouth and abdominal pain. It is important to consult a doctor or pharmacist and read the package leaflet before taking the medicine.

I have read that, compared to cetirizine, a much smaller amount of the active ingredient levocetirizine is sufficient to achieve the same effect. That's why I bought this medication for the first time. What I can say after a few days: 1. the medication works quickly for me, in about 20 minutes. 2. it doesn't make me tired. 3. the recommended intake of one tablet a day is sufficient.
