Active substance: mometasone furoate (Ph.Eur.). Indications: Used for the treatment of symptoms of hay fever (also known as seasonal allergic rhinitis), provided the initial diagnosis of hay fever has been made by a doctor. For use in adults 1 What is MometaDex and what is it used for? - MometaDex contains mometasone furoate, an active substance from the group of corticosteroids. - It is used to treat the symptoms of hay fever, provided that the initial diagnosis has been made by a doctor. What should you know before you use MometaDex? - Do not use MometaDex if you are allergic to mometasone furoate or any of the other ingredients. - Wait before using it if you have an untreated infection in your nose or have recently had a nose operation. - Talk to your doctor if you have tuberculosis, another infection, cystic fibrosis or problems with your immune system. How should MometaDex be used? - The recommended dose is two sprays into each nostril once a day. - Start using it before the pollen season to prevent hay fever symptoms. - Clean the nasal spray regularly.
