Directions for use of the article MometaDex 50 µg/puff nasal spray: MometaDex 50 microgram/spray puff nasal spray is used to treat hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) in adults. It contains the active ingredient mometasone furoate, which can relieve inflammation and symptoms such as sneezing, itching and a blocked or runny nose. The nasal spray should be used once a day, with two sprays in each nostril. If necessary, the dose can be increased to a maximum of four sprays. The full effect of the treatment can only be observed after two days, so it is important to use the nasal spray regularly. There are some warnings and precautions, for example that the nasal spray should not be used during an untreated nasal infection or after a nose operation. It should also not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Possible side effects may include sneezing, nosebleeds, sore throat, ulcers in the nose and respiratory infections. If hypersensitivity reactions occur, discontinue use and seek medical attention. The nasal spray should be kept out of the reach of children and used within two months of opening.
