It contains the active ingredient sumatriptan, which constricts the blood vessels in the brain that are dilated by migraine, inhibits pain-triggering messenger substances and relieves the migraine headache. The tablets should be swallowed as soon as possible when the symptoms start. The general recommended dose for adults is one tablet containing 50 mg sumatriptan. If necessary, the dosage can be increased to two tablets. It is taken unchewed with a glass of water. The medicine must not be used for a prolonged period of time and is intended for single use per migraine attack.
