Cetirizine axicur® 10 mg film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient cetirizine dihydrochloride, which is used to relieve allergic symptoms.The active ingredient is particularly suitable for hay fever, dust and pet allergies as well as hives.Cetirizin axicur® 10 mg film-coated tablets relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny and stuffy nose, itchy and watery eyes and skin rash.

Areas of application

Cetirizine axicur® 10 mg film-coated tablets are suitable for use in adults and children aged 6 years and over.They help relieve nasal and eye symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis as well as hives.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each film-coated tablet contains 10 mg cetirizine dihydrochloride, which corresponds to 8.42 mg cetirizine.Other ingredients include cellulose, microcrystalline, hypromellose, lactose 1-water, macrogol 6000, magnesium stearate (vegetable), corn starch, pre-gelatinized corn starch, talc and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

Cetirizin axicur® 10 mg film-coated tablets must not be taken if you have severe kidney disease or are allergic to cetirizine dihydrochloride, any of the other ingredients of the drug, hydroxyzine or other piperazine derivatives.

Dosage

Always take Cetirizin axicur® 10 mg film-coated tablets exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age take one film-coated tablet once a day.Children between 6 and 12 years take half a film-coated tablet twice a day.Patients with kidney failure should adjust the dose accordingly.

The duration of use depends on the type, duration and course of your symptoms and is determined by your doctor.If you have taken more than you should, please contact your doctor.Do not take a double dose if you forget to take the previous dose.

Intake

The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of liquid.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine, especially if you suffer from impaired kidney function, have difficulty urinating or have epilepsy.It is recommended to avoid taking the drug and alcohol at the same time.If you are going to have an allergy test, please ask your doctor if you should stop taking the medicine for a few days before the test.

In clinical studies, cetirizine at the recommended dose did not produce any signs of impaired attention, alertness or driving ability.However, after taking the medicine, you should carefully monitor your reaction when driving or operating machines.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Taking the drug should be avoided by pregnant women.Cetirizine passes into breast milk, so you should not take it if you are breast-feeding until you have consulted your doctor.
