Instructions for use for Karex children's toothpaste, 50 ml
Karex children's toothpaste with BioHAP - without fluoride
This toothpaste offers effective tooth decay protection for children, based on the tooth-related active ingredient BioHAP.This substance, also known as biomimetic hydroxyapatite, is the main component of teeth.BioHAP protects and repairs tooth enamel, while xylitol also works against bacteria and plaque. The toothpaste contains no fluoride, no parabens and no sodium lauryl sulfate. It is rich in calcium, which strengthens milk teeth and protects them from acids. The mild aroma makes them particularly child-friendly.The toothpaste is suitable from the first tooth, even for children who cannot yet spit out properly. No prescription is required for this product.
Age recommendation
The toothpaste is suitable for children aged 0 and over.
What is BioHAP?
BioHAP, or biomimetic hydroxyapatite, is a natural source of calcium.Plaque and acidic foods remove calcium from the tooth enamel.BioHAP attaches to tooth surfaces and allows calcium to be redeposited into the enamel, a process known as remineralization.Due to its high consistency with natural tooth mineral, BioHAP can even remineralize deeper layers of tooth enamel.
BioHAP offers an alternative to fluoride, which is found in most toothpastes. When you brush your teeth, BioHAP forms a protective layer on the tooth, making it more difficult for bacteria to adhere and thus protecting against tooth decay.Daily brushing with BioHAP can repair even small defects in tooth enamel and support remineralization.BioHAP deposits on the teeth and tooth necks and also helps with pain-sensitive teeth.Due to its similarity to the body's own tooth mineral, BioHAP is harmless if swallowed and is therefore also suitable for small children and babies who cannot yet spit out properly.Since the toothpaste is free of fluoride, there are no unwanted effects such as fluorosis that can occur due to ingestion or overdose of fluoride.
The effectiveness of BioHAP in dental care has been proven in scientific studies.
Fluorosis due to excessive fluoride intake
Fluoroses are chalky-white enamel patches on permanent incisors caused by disruption of mineralization during tooth maturation. This disorder arises from excessive fluoride intake during the teeth maturation phase, especially between the ages of two and five.Children are particularly susceptible to overdoses because their low body weight and frequent swallowing of toothpaste while brushing mean they can absorb high amounts of fluoride. In addition, many everyday products contain fluoride, which makes it difficult to accurately determine the amount of fluoride consumed.
A fluoride-free alternative is BioHAP.This tooth-related active ingredient offers effective protection for children's sensitive teeth while reducing the risk of later fluorosis.
Application recommendation
The toothpaste should be used twice a day, morning and evening.
