When starting treatment with Nikofrenone, you must stop smoking completely.The dosage should only be reduced after one week of continuous use at the earliest.

Intake

The transdermal patch is applied to a healthy, hairless, dry and clean area of skin, preferably on the upper arm, shoulder area or upper hip.It should be pressed with the palm of your hand for 10 to 20 seconds.The same skin area should not be used on consecutive days.After sticking, hands should be washed thoroughly to avoid eye irritation.Used plasters should be disposed of carefully and kept out of the reach of children.

Application

When you start treatment with Nikofrenon® you must stop smoking completely.

The nicotine-containing patches are available in three strengths: Nikofrenon® 7 mg/24 hours, Nikofrenon® 14 mg/24 hours and Nikofrenon® 21 mg/24 hours.The starting dose depends on your previous smoking habits.For optimal treatment, please follow the dosing schedule in the instructions for use.

Nikofrenon® 14 mg/24 hour patches are suitable for the starting phase (up to and including 20 cigarettes per day) and the continuation phase of your smoking cessation.

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, stick a Nikofrenon® transdermal patch every day when you get up on a healthy, hairless, dry and clean area of skin, preferably on the upper arm.Other parts of the body to attach include the shoulder area or upper hip.Each patch is individually sealed in a child-proof bag.Use scissors to cut open the pouch along the dotted line and remove the transdermal patch.Slowly peel off the aluminum-colored protective film from the interface.The transdermal patch should be pressed with the palm of your hand for 10 - 20 seconds and left on the skin for 24 hours.
