Directions for use of the article Refluthin for heartburn chewable tablets mint flavour: Refluthin chewable tablets are a medicinal product for the quick and lasting relief of heartburn and acid-related stomach complaints. They can be taken at the first symptoms and are well tolerated. The chewable tablets contain no preservatives or artificial colours and are gluten-free and lactose-free. They contain 450 mg calcium carbonate, 50 mg magnesium carbonate and 75 mg prickly pear extract. Refluthin chewable tablets should be taken after meals, one hour after meals is particularly recommended. One chewable tablet as a single dose is already sufficient, but can be taken up to four times a day if necessary. It should not be taken for longer than 30 days and a doctor should be consulted if symptoms persist for longer. Refluthin chewable tablets must not be used if you are hypersensitive or allergic to one or more of the ingredients, suffer from hereditary fructose intolerance, are under 12 years of age, have kidney problems, have elevated levels of calcium in the blood or urine or have low levels of phosphate in the blood. The chewable tablets may interact with orally administered medicines, so they should be taken 1-2 hours apart from these medicines and you should inform your doctor. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. One chewable tablet contains up to 0.56 g sorbitol, which may have a laxative effect if consumed in excess.
