Instructions for use for the article Canifug Cream

Canifug Cream is an antifungal cream for use on the skin and for use on the skin of the external female genital area.The active ingredient in this cream is clotrimazole.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Canifug Cream is used for fungal infections (mycoses) of the skin and the external female genital area (Candida vulvitis).These include fungal infections of the skin, in the folds of the body, athlete's foot, fungal infections between the toes or fingers, fungal infections on the nail wall and cutaneous ringworm caused by bran fungus.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in Canifug Cream is clotrimazole.The other ingredients are benzyl alcohol, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, sodium citrate dihydrate, octyldodecanol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate and purified water.

Contraindications

Canifug Cream must not be used if you are hypersensitive to clotrimazole, cetostearyl alcohol or any of the other ingredients in the cream.The cream must not be used on the breast area while breastfeeding.

Dosage and application

Always use Canifug Cream exactly as directed in the instructions for use.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the cream is applied thinly to the affected skin 2 to 3 times a day.For an area about the size of your palm, a strand of cream about 0.5 cm long is usually enough.In the case of a fungal infection of the external female genital area, the cream should be applied thinly to the labia as well as to the skin of the adjacent areas up to the anus.

The duration of treatment varies and depends on the extent and location of the disease.For fungal skin infections, the average treatment duration is 2-4 weeks.For fungal infections in the external genital area of women, the average treatment duration is 1-2 weeks.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Canifug Cream can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Very rarely, hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or the other ingredients of the cream may occur.Temporary itching and burning often occur after application.Occasionally skin irritations such as:B. Stinging or temporary redness may occur.

Storage

The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children.You must not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and tube.The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.Do not store above 25°C.
