What is Ibubeta 400 acute and what is it used for?
Ibubeta 400 acute is a pain-relieving, fever-reducing and anti-inflammatory medicine.The active ingredient ibuprofen belongs to a group of substances that are effective against both pain and inflammation and can reduce fever.These effects are mainly due to the inhibition of a substance produced in the body called prostaglandin, which is responsible for the sensation of pain, inflammatory reactions and the increase in body temperature.
Ibubeta 400 acute is used for mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches, period pains and fever.No prescription is required for this product.
How should Ibubeta 400 be taken acutely?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is:
Children aged 6-9 years (with a body weight of 20-29 kg): 1/2 tablet 1-3 times a day with an interval of 6 hours, with meals.
Children aged 10-12 years (with a body weight of 30-39 kg): 1/2 tablet 1-4 times a day with an interval of 6 hours, with meals.
Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults (body weight over 40 kg): 1/2-1 tablet 1-4 times a day (max. 3 tablets per day) at an interval of 6 hours, with meals.
If you have taken the maximum single dose, wait at least 6 hours before taking your next dose.
Adults should not use the medicine for more than 3 days for fever or for more than 4 days for pain unless medical advice is sought.Children and adolescents should not use the medicine for longer than 3 days without medical advice.
Take the film-coated tablets whole with plenty of liquid (e.g. a glass of water) during or after a meal.For patients with sensitive stomachs, it is recommended to take the medicine with meals.
The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms.If you feel that the effect is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
What should you pay attention to if you forget to take a dose?
If you forget to take a dose, do not take more than the usual recommended amount at the next dose.Continue taking as normal at the next prescribed time.
What to do in case of overdose?
If you have taken more Ibubeta 400 acute than you should, or if children have accidentally taken the medicine, always contact a doctor or hospital in your area to get an assessment of the risk and advice on further treatment.
How should Ibubeta 400 be stored acutely?

What Ibubeta 400 acute contains
The active ingredient is ibuprofen.1 film-coated tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen.
The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, macrogol 400, magnesium stearate (vegetable), corn starch, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, stearic acid (vegetable), talc, titanium dioxide (E 171).
Areas of application
Ibubeta 400 acute is used for mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches, period pains and fever.
Contraindications
The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of the medicine, if you have stomach or intestinal ulcers, if you have unexplained blood disorders, if you have severe liver or kidney dysfunction, if you have severe heart failure or in the last three months of pregnancy.
The medicine must not be taken by children under 6 years of age as it is not suitable due to the high active ingredient content.
Side effects
Possible side effects include gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, bleeding in the gastrointestinal area, headache, dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, irritability, agitation, skin hypersensitivity reactions such as rash and itching, attacks of shortness of breath and visual disturbances.
