What is gap migraine and what is it used for?

Spalt Migraine is an anti-inflammatory and analgesic medicine that belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).It is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of the acute headache phase of migraines, both with and without aura, as well as for the treatment of tension headaches.

Areas of application

Spalt Migraine is used to treat mild to moderate pain, especially headaches and migraines, especially in the acute phase.It is also suitable for treating tension headaches.

How is Spalt Migraine used?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor has told you.For adults and adolescents aged 12 and over with a body weight of more than 40 kg, the recommended dose is 1 soft capsule (equivalent to 400 mg ibuprofen) up to three times daily.The maximum daily dose should not exceed 3 soft capsules (equivalent to 1200 mg ibuprofen).

If you have taken the maximum single dose, wait at least 6 hours before taking your next dose.The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms.

Please take the capsules whole with plenty of liquid (e.g. a glass of water) during or after a meal.For patients with a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take the capsules with meals.

How to store Spalt Migraine?

Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the carton or container.Gap Migraine should not be stored above 25°C.

What gap migraine contains

The active ingredient is ibuprofen.One soft capsule contains 400 mg ibuprofen.

The other ingredients are: macrogol 400/600, potassium hydroxide, solution of partially dehydrated sorbitol, gelatin, purified water, propylene glycol, polyvinyl acetate phthalate and iron oxide (E 172).

Contraindications

Spalt Migraine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.The medicine should also not be used if you have existing or repeated stomach or duodenal ulcers or bleeding in the past, if you have cerebral hemorrhages or other active bleeding, as well as if you have severe liver or kidney dysfunction or severe heart failure.

Particular caution is required in the case of gastrointestinal complaints, inflammatory bowel diseases, blood formation disorders, blood clotting disorders, high blood pressure, heart failure, coronary heart disease, circulatory disorders, impaired kidney or liver function, collagen vascular disease, porphyria, major operations, chickenpox, children under 12 years of age and older patients aged 65 and over.

Side effects

Possible side effects include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, headache, dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, irritability, agitation, skin hypersensitivity reactions such as rash and itching, attacks of shortness of breath and visual disturbances.

Alcohol consumption should be avoided if possible during long-term treatment.Occasional alcohol consumption in small amounts is permitted, but not with the medication.
