Instructions for use of Rowachol soft capsules

Rowachol soft capsules contain components of essential oils and are traditionally used to improve the condition of gallbladder problems.The product promotes the flow of bile, relieves cramps and stimulates intestinal activity.It is suitable for functional digestive complaints such as flatulence, bloating and nausea after fatty meals, as well as for digestive cramps and colic.Rowachol soft capsules can also help after gallstone surgery.

Application and dosage

The usual dose for adults is one capsule for mild symptoms.One or two capsules can be taken for colic and cramps.After gallstone surgery, one capsule three to four times daily is recommended.The capsules should be taken with sufficient liquid before or during a meal.If the symptoms worsen or do not improve, a doctor should be consulted.

Contraindications and precautions

Rowachol soft capsules must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or other ingredients, in infants and small children under two years of age and in patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases with pronounced hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract.Use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age is not recommended as there are insufficient data.The product should also not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Side effects

Occasionally belching with a camphor-like taste may occur.Very rarely, temporary stomach problems, nausea or heartburn may occur.Infants and children up to two years of age may experience laryngeal spasm with severe breathing difficulties.

Composition

Each capsule contains 32.0 mg menthol, 6.0 mg menthone, 17.0 mg α- and β-pinene, 5.0 mg camphene, 5.0 mg borneol and 2.0 mg cineole.Other ingredients include olive oil, gelatin, glycerol 85%, sodium ethyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and sodium propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate as well as the dye copper chlorophyllin E 141.

Storage

Rowachol soft capsules should not be stored above 25°C and should be kept in the original packaging to protect the contents from light.Medicines should be kept out of the reach of children.The product must not be used after the expiry date stated on the outer carton.
