Instructions for use of Rowachol soft capsules

Rowachol soft capsules contain components of essential oils and are traditionally used to improve the condition of gallbladder problems.The product has bile flow-promoting, antispasmodic and wind-driving properties.It promotes blood circulation in the liver and other glands of the digestive system and stimulates intestinal activity.

Areas of application include functional digestive complaints such as flatulence, feeling of fullness and nausea after fatty or difficult-to-digest meals.It can also be used for digestive cramps, colic and complaints after gallstone operations.

No prescription is required for this product.

What do you need to consider before using Rowachol soft capsules?

Rowachol soft capsules must not be used if you are hypersensitive to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.The product should also not be used in infants and small children under 2 years of age as well as in patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases that are associated with severe hypersensitivity of the airways.

Because there are insufficient data, use in children and adolescents under 18 is not recommended.The use of Rowachol is also not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Rowachol can increase the stone-dissolving effects of certain bile acids.Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or using other medicines.

How should Rowachol soft capsules be taken?

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose for adults for minor symptoms is 1 capsule.For colic and digestive cramps, 1 to 2 capsules can be taken.If there is no response, another 2 to 3 capsules can be taken after approx. 15 minutes.After gallstone surgery, the recommended dose is 1 capsule 3 to 4 times daily.

The capsules should be taken with sufficient liquid, preferably before or during a meal.If the symptoms worsen or there is no improvement, a doctor must be consulted.

What side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, Rowachol soft capsules can cause side effects that not everyone gets.Occasionally belching with a camphor-like taste may occur.Very rarely, temporary stomach problems, nausea or heartburn may occur.Infants and children up to 2 years of age may experience laryngeal spasm with severe respiratory distress.

How should Rowachol soft capsules be stored?

Rowachol soft capsules should not be stored above 25°C and should be kept in the original packaging to protect the contents from light.Medicines should be kept out of the reach of children.The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the outer carton.

Do not throw away medicines via wastewater or household waste.Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicine when you no longer use it.

What Rowachol soft capsules contain:

1 Capsule contains: menthol 32.0 mg, menthone 6.0 mg, α- and β-pinene 17.0 mg, camphene 5.0 mg, borneol 5.0 mg, cineole 2.0 mg.Other ingredients are olive oil, gelatin, glycerol 85%, sodium ethyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and sodium propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, color copper chlorophyllin E 141.

The use of Rowachol soft capsules has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.This medicine contains p-hydroxybenzoic acid esters as preservatives, which can cause allergic reactions.
