How to take Silymarin AL?

Always take Silymarin AL exactly as described in the instructions for use or after consultation with your doctor or pharmacist.The recommended dose for adults and children over 12 years of age is one hard capsule three times a day, equivalent to 86.5 mg of silymarin three times a day.The hard capsules can be taken whole or chewed with sufficient liquid, such as a glass of water, after meals.They should not be taken while lying down.

Keep Silymarin AL out of the reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister pack.This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.Do not throw away medicines via wastewater or household waste.Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicine when you no longer use it.

What Silymarin AL contains

The active ingredient in Silymarin AL is dry extract from milk thistle fruits.One hard capsule contains 136 - 160 mg dry extract from milk thistle fruits (50 - 70:1), corresponding to 86.5 mg silymarin (calculated as silibinin, HPLC), with acetone as the extractant.The other ingredients are gelatin, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (vegetable), colloidal silicon dioxide, iron (III) oxide (E 172) and titanium dioxide (E 171).

Contraindications

Notes

Silymarin AL contains lactose.Caution is advised if you are intolerance to lactose.If you have to follow a diabetes diet, you should consider the sugar content.There may be medicines with which interactions occur.You should therefore generally tell your doctor or pharmacist before starting treatment with a new medicine that you are already using.This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, only use occasionally or that were used some time ago.

Dosage

The duration of use of Silymarin AL depends on the type of symptoms and/or the course of the disease. If you forget to take it, continue taking it as normal at the next scheduled time.For teenagers aged 12 and over and adults: 1 capsule 3 times a day, after a meal.
