What is milgamma® mono 150 and what is it used for?
milgamma® mono 150 is a vitamin preparation that is used to treat and prevent vitamin B1 deficiency.The active ingredient benfotiamine is a fat-soluble precursor of vitamin B1 and is particularly well absorbed by the body.The preparation is suitable for the therapy or prophylaxis of clinical vitamin B1 deficiency states that cannot be remedied through nutrition.
Areas of application
milgamma® mono 150 is used for various forms of vitamin B1 deficiency.This can occur with malnutrition and malnutrition, such as beriberi, long-term parenteral nutrition, zero diet, hemodialysis, malabsorption, chronic alcoholism, as well as with increased needs, for example during pregnancy and breastfeeding.The preparation is also used to treat neuropathies and cardiovascular disorders caused by vitamin B1 deficiency.
Dosage and instructions for use
Always take milgamma® mono 150 exactly as directed.To prevent vitamin B1 deficiency, take one coated tablet once a day.To treat a vitamin B1 deficiency, it can be one to two coated tablets once a day, or more in rare cases.To treat certain nerve diseases that can be caused by vitamin B1 deficiency, initially take one coated tablet at least twice a day, or in special cases three times a day, for at least three weeks.You can then reduce your intake to one to two coated tablets once a day.
Swallow the coated tablets whole with a little liquid.The duration of intake depends on the therapeutic success.For the treatment of neuropathies, milgamma® mono 150 should initially be taken for a period of at least three weeks.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The active ingredient in milgamma® mono 150 is benfotiamine, a fat-soluble vitamin B1 derivative.One coated tablet contains 150 mg benfotiamine.The other ingredients include microcrystalline cellulose, talc, povidone (K30), colloidal silicon dioxide, higher chain partial glycerides, croscarmellose sodium, sucrose, calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide (E 171), shellac, Arabic gum, corn starch, glycerol 85%, macrogol (6000), polysorbate 80 and montan glycol wax.
Contraindications
milgamma® mono 150 must not be taken if you are allergic to the active ingredient benfotiamine or to thiamine or any of the other ingredients of the drug.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should only take this medicine after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
Side effects
Possible side effects may include hypersensitivity, hives, skin rash, gastrointestinal disorders, nausea, and gastrointestinal discomfort.If you notice any discomfort or change during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Storage
Do not store milgamma® mono 150 above 25°C and protect it from heat.
