milgamma® mono 150 is a vitamin preparation that is used for the therapy and prophylaxis of vitamin B1 deficiencies if these cannot be remedied through nutrition.The active ingredient benfotiamine is a fat-soluble precursor of vitamin B1 and is particularly well absorbed by the body.milgamma® mono 150 is also used to treat neuropathies and cardiovascular disorders caused by vitamin B1 deficiency.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

How should milgamma® mono 150 be taken?

Always take milgamma® mono 150 exactly according to the instructions in the package leaflet.To prevent vitamin B1 deficiency, take one coated tablet once a day.To treat a vitamin B1 deficiency, it can be one to two coated tablets once a day, or more in rare cases.To treat neuropathies that may be caused by vitamin B1 deficiency, initially take one coated tablet at least twice a day, and in special cases three times a day, for at least three weeks.You can then continue taking one to two coated tablets once daily.Swallow the coated tablets whole with a little liquid.The duration of intake depends on the therapeutic success.

What milgamma® mono 150 contains

The active ingredient in milgamma® mono 150 is benfotiamine, a fat-soluble vitamin B1 derivative.Each coated tablet contains 150 mg benfotiamine.The other ingredients include microcrystalline cellulose, talc, povidone (K30), colloidal silicon dioxide, higher chain partial glycerides, croscarmellose sodium, sucrose, calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide (E 171), shellac, Arabic gum, corn starch, glycerol 85%, macrogol (6000), polysorbate 80 and montan glycol wax.

How should milgamma® mono 150 be stored?

Do not store milgamma® mono 150 above 25°C and protect it from heat.

Contraindications

milgamma® mono 150 must not be taken if you are allergic to the active ingredients benfotiamine, thiamine or any of the other ingredients of the drug.

Side effects

Possible side effects may include hypersensitivity, hives, rash, gastrointestinal distress, and nausea.If you notice any discomfort or change during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Important notes

Caution is advised if you are allergic to binding agents or have intolerance to sucrose.If you have to follow a diabetes diet, you should consider the sugar content.Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are already using.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy and breastfeeding you should only take milgamma® mono 150 after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The recommended vitamin B1 intake during pregnancy and breastfeeding is 1.4-2.3 mg.Vitamin B1 is excreted in breast milk.The medicine should only be taken if a significant deficiency has been proven and should only be used for a short time, as there is no experience with overdoses during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
