What is milgamma® mono 150 and what is it used for?
milgamma® mono 150 is a vitamin preparation that contains the active ingredient benfotiamine.Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble vitamin B1 derivative that is well absorbed in the body and is quickly converted into its active form.The preparation is used for the therapy or prophylaxis of clinical vitamin B1 deficiencies if these cannot be remedied through nutrition.It is also indicated for the treatment of neuropathies and cardiovascular disorders caused by vitamin B1 deficiency.
Areas of application
milgamma® mono 150 is used to prevent and treat vitamin B1 deficiency, to treat nerve diseases caused by vitamin B1 deficiency and to treat cardiovascular diseases caused by vitamin B1 deficiency.A clinically proven vitamin B1 deficiency can occur with malnutrition and malnutrition, parenteral nutrition over a long period of time, zero diet, hemodialysis, malabsorption, chronic alcoholism, increased requirements such as pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Dosage and instructions for use
Always take milgamma® mono 150 exactly as directed.The usual dose to prevent vitamin B1 deficiency is 1 coated tablet once a day.To treat vitamin B1 deficiency, 1 to 2 coated tablets can be taken daily.To treat certain nerve diseases (polyneuropathies), 1 coated tablet is initially taken at least twice a day, in special cases 3 times a day, for a period of at least 3 weeks, followed by further treatment with 1-2 coated tablets once a day.The tablets should be swallowed whole with some liquid.The duration of intake depends on the therapeutic success.

1 coated tablet milgamma® mono 150 contains 150 mg benfotiamine as the active ingredient.The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, talc, povidone (K30), highly dispersed silicon dioxide, higher chain partial glycerides, croscarmellose sodium, sucrose, calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide (E 171), shellac, Arabic gum, corn starch, glycerol 85%, macrogol (6000), polysorbate 80, montan glycol wax.
Contraindications
milgamma® mono 150 must not be taken if you are allergic to the active ingredients benfotiamine, thiamine or any of the other ingredients of the drug.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should only take this medicine after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
Side effects
Possible side effects may include hypersensitivity, hives (urticaria), skin rash, gastrointestinal disorders, nausea and gastrointestinal disorders.If you notice any discomfort or change during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Storage
The medicine should not be stored above 25°C.
